
1. The application form must be fully completed in English signed, and dated by the applicant.
2. The NOC/Salary certificate must be signed, with the full name of the signatory, their position in the company, and a copy of the Emirates ID. If the sponsor is a family member, the sponsor must provide an original NOC stating the family relationship. For housewives and dependents applying separately from the sponsor, the sponsor’s salary certificate and bank account statement are required, along with a copy of the sponsor’s passport and Schengen visa (if applicable). If the applicant is self-sponsored, a copy of the trade license must be provided, officially translated into Spanish or English.
3. The passport must have a valid UAE residence visa with at least one month of validity beyond the requested visa expiry date. A copy of the residence permit issued in the UAE within the last five years is also required (not applicable for minors under 18). The passport should have at least two blank pages and must be valid for at least three months beyond the expiry of the requested visa. The passport must not be older than ten years and should be signed by the bearer. Photographs must be undamaged and securely affixed to the passport. Previous passports, if applicable, must also be provided.
4. One recent biometric passport-sized photograph is required, which should meet EU specifications. The photo should not be older than six months and must have a white background. For children under three years old, the photograph should not be older than one month.
5. Photocopies of the passport pages containing personal data and the residency visa are required, along with copies of any previous Schengen, US, UK, Canada, or Japan visas.
6. Overseas medical insurance valid for the entire duration of the requested visa, covering all Schengen countries, must be provided. The insurance must cover all risks, including repatriation, with a minimum coverage of €30,000. Insurance linked to credit cards is not accepted. The policy conditions must be provided either on the insurance document or in a separate confirmation letter, including the “”Insurance Policy / Table of Benefits.””
7. Proof of accommodation in Spain is required, which can include a hotel booking, a copy of the lease or property deed for the accommodation (if not in Spanish, it must be officially translated into Spanish), or, if staying with a private host, an official invitation letter (“”Carta de Invitación””) stamped by Spanish police.
8. Proof of sufficient financial means includes recent bank account statements from the applicant’s personal bank account for the last three months. For housewives, minors, and dependents, the sponsor’s salary certificate and bank account statement are also required.
9. A signed written itinerary of the applicant’s journey must be submitted. A confirmed return ticket booking is also necessary.

Applications submitted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be forwarded to the Embassy of Spain/Consulate General of Spain on the next working day. After submission, the applicant may be asked to provide additional documents. According to the instructions from the Embassy of Spain, the minimum processing time is 3 weeks, though this may vary depending on individual cases.
It is important to submit applications at least 3 weeks before the intended travel date to account for any unexpected delays in processing.
The photo should be taken against a light-colored background (white or off-white) to ensure the features are clearly visible and stand out against the background. It should be of high quality, with the face clearly in focus. The photograph must be printed on regular photographic paper (camera print). It should show the full face with no smile, and the applicant should not be wearing sunglasses, a hat, cap, or any other head covering unless it is for religious or ethnic reasons.
