2. Passport – valid for 3 months beyond the expiry date of the requested visa. issued within the last 10 years, and contain at least two blank visa pages. The passport photos must be securely attached and undamaged. If applicable, you must also provide your previous passport.
3. UAE residence – they must be valid for 3 months beyond the requested visa’s expiry date or the intended end of the journey. Electronic UAE residence visa holders must include a printout from ICP, and the Emirates ID must also meet the same validity requirement.
4. 2 recent biometric passport-sized photos (3.5 x 4.5 cm) must meet the following requirements: taken within the last six months, showing a frontal view of the face (70-80% of the photo), with a white background, clear facial features, and eyes visible (not covered by hair or glasses). Head coverings are allowed only for religious reasons.
5. photocopies of your passport’s personal data page, signature page (signed by you), UAE residence permit/visa, and previous Schengen visas. GCC nationals must also provide a copy of their Emirates ID.
6. Medical insurance must cover the entire visa duration and all Schengen countries, with a minimum coverage of €30,000, including repatriation. The insurance terms must be explicitly stated in the policy or a separate letter (credit card insurance is not accepted).
7. travel itinerary is required, including confirmed flight reservations and valid hotel bookings with complete address details (name, street, city, ZIP code, contact information, and booking reference).
8. No Objection Letter (NOL) from your employer or sponsor, including their name, address, and contact details. The letter must specify your job title, start date, salary, leave dates, and the purpose of travel. For business owners, include a copy of the company’s trade license. For dependents, attach a copy of the sponsor’s passport and UAE residence visa.
9. proof of financial means, such as personal bank statements from the last three months, property ownership documents, or other assets.

The German Consulate requires up to 15 calendar days to process the application.
Please note that due to this minimum processing period, we cannot assure the return of passports by specific travel dates.
- The photo must be recent, taken within the last six months.
- It should display a frontal view of the face, covering 67.20% to 80% of the image height (equivalent to 32–26mm).
The background must be uniform and white in color. - Facial features and eyes should be clearly visible, without obstructions from hair or eyeglass frames.
- Head coverings are permitted only for religious purposes.
Do not attach the photo to the application form using glue or staples.
